Job Title: Senior Automation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation Specialist to join our team in a 12-month contract position. As a member of our onsite automation team, you will support complex and challenging system automation initiatives, with each day presenting new opportunities for growth and development.


The successful candidate will be responsible for the ownership and administration of process automation systems in a GMP-regulated manufacturing setting. This includes leading and supporting system improvements, developing detailed specifications, engineering documents, and standard operating procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical root cause analysis, incident investigations, and troubleshooting issues related to instrumentation and equipment control systems.
  • Support new product or technology introductions by performing engineering assessments, implementing automation system configuration changes, and supporting engineering runs.
  • Solve complex problems, manage lifecycle, and drive operational excellence.
  • Develop and manage change control requests per established SOPs and processes.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all applicable environmental health/safety practices, rules, and regulations.
  • Analyse designs of existing systems, develop, and recommend continuous improvements in line with the latest technology and regulatory standards.

About the Role

This position requires a senior-level professional with a strong background in automation engineering and experience working in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
