As a researcher on our team, you will collaborate with senior analysts and traders to identify investment opportunities in the equity or options market. You will be responsible for providing real-time opinions on breaking news and in-depth analysis of future volatility events. This role requires finding opportunities that other market participants may not capitalize on by discovering new information or considering existing knowledge from a different perspective.
Key Responsibilities:- Identifying and analyzing upcoming volatility events
- Providing real-time opinions on breaking news
- Forecasting dividends
- Evaluating special situations such as mergers and acquisitions and other corporate actions
- Collaborating with derivative traders on investment ideas
- Traveling to company events and conferences as required
- Performing stock valuation analysis
We are seeking a minimum of a Bachelor's degree with 3 years' + experience in financial markets or progress towards CFA qualification an advantage. Strong written, analytical, and financial research skills are necessary. Demonstrable interest in, and some knowledge of, macroeconomic environment and political events is also required. The ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is essential.
