The Irish Silver Museum is a place where people can come to see and learn about Ireland's rich cultural heritage. As a volunteer, you will play an important role in welcoming visitors and sharing your knowledge with them.
One of the main responsibilities of this role is to provide excellent customer service to visitors. This means being friendly, approachable and enthusiastic, and making sure that everyone who comes to the museum has a positive experience.
Volunteers will also be responsible for assisting with the invigilation of the museum's collection. This involves helping to maintain the exhibits, answering questions from visitors and providing information about the artifacts on display.
If you are interested in history and enjoy working with people, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you. The role requires enthusiasm, good communication skills and an interest in history, suitable for individuals over 15 years old.
As a volunteer, you will commit to a minimum of 3 hours per week, which can be scheduled at a time that suits you. This could be in the mornings, afternoons or evenings, Monday to Sunday. You will receive support and training, as well as benefits such as discounts and free museum access.
