Job Title: Part-time Health & Safety Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Part-time Health & Safety Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for proactively identifying and mitigating health and safety risks, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a strong workplace health and safety culture by communicating regularly with managers, safety representatives, and employees.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective measures to mitigate risks and improve safety.
  • Participate in site H&S meetings with management and operational teams, lead risk reviews, and oversee incident investigations and reporting.
  • Identify and schedule mandatory and ongoing safety training, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Create and share health and safety materials, such as toolbox talks and safety alerts, to drive continuous improvement.
  • Organize and lead safety campaigns to promote a strong safety culture across the business.
  • Maintain training records and matrices to ensure accurate documentation.

Requirements:

  • A degree in Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A team player with ability to work collaboratively and engage with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • A strong work ethic with a positive can-do attitude and a genuine drive to improve safety standards.
  • Experience of influencing stakeholders on health and safety-related issues.
  • A clear understanding of the legislative framework for health and safety and its practical application.
  • Strong understanding of safety management systems and incident investigation techniques.
  • A recognised qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • A full clean Irish driver's license.
  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in an Occupational Health and Safety Officer role.
