We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of the Psychological Services department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to individuals within the prison system.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in addressing emotional, mental health, and offence-related difficulties with a forensic population. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to work effectively with multidisciplinary colleagues.
The role involves conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing ongoing support to individuals throughout their sentence. You will also engage in consultation, education, and guidance with colleagues, promoting best practice and advancing the field of forensic psychology.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide evidence-based interventions and therapies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote holistic care
Essential Qualifications and Competencies:
To be considered for this role, candidates must hold a postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical Psychology recognized by the relevant governing body. They should also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Requirements:
Experience in addressing emotional, mental health, and offence-related difficulties with a forensic population is highly desirable. Additionally, further therapeutic or research qualifications may be beneficial.
