Tax Compliance Specialist
Job Description:The primary responsibility of the tax compliance specialist is to oversee the entire indirect tax lifecycle for a large retail group. This includes the preparation and submission of returns, ensuring accurate and timely payment of taxes.
The specialist must be knowledgeable about international legislative changes that may impact the business, providing technical support for daily activities and process reviews.
Additionally, they will adapt and monitor tax data governance procedures, driving continuous improvements through automation and digital reporting capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete indirect tax compliance lifecycle for the retail group.
- Ensure all returns, reporting, and payments are filed accurately and on time.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of people, processes, and technology to meet indirect tax obligations.
- Support and maintain documentation required to meet tax governance requirements.
Essential Skills:
- Qualified AITI CTA or equivalent.
- 7+ years indirect tax compliance and advisory experience.
- Excellent written, oral, analytical, and presentation skills.
- The ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to non-tax audiences.
