About the Role

This is a high-profile engineering opportunity within our multidisciplinary project team.

As an experienced instrumentation and controls engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking various tasks including feasibility studies, detailed design work, system architecture development, and technical management of vendors and sub-contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake feasibility, outline and detailed instrumentation and control design work including creation of I/O schedules, alarm schedules, cause and effect schedules, instrument index and data sheets, hock up drawings, loop drawings, control philosophy development, user requirements specifications, system architecture design, fieldbus design, instrumentation and scope/specification documents, functional design specifications (reviews) and instrumentation and control cable schedules.
  • Develop routing and cabling containment designs.
  • Generate detailed system design (DSD) calculations.
  • Create functional safety documentation and design substantiation.
  • Conduct general engineering design.
  • Maintain sites, collect data and provide technical support to the project team.
  • Assist with delivering design and general engineering projects.
  • Support bids and proposal documents as required to assist the EC&I Head of discipline or Bid Manager.
  • Perform technical checking of team members' work.
  • Manage relationships with instrumentation and system integration vendors and sub-contractors.
  • Provide leadership to project teams.
About You

You must have experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology industry, particularly in I&C design and construction support.

We require individuals who are proactive, flexible and able to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

We expect candidates to possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

A strong understanding of design codes and legislation is also essential.
