Job Description:

O'Loughlin Project Engineers Limited is a leading provider of engineering services, and we are currently seeking a Senior Site Project Engineer to join our team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Interact with and support the engineering department in the delivery of various capital projects.
  • Management of major work packages, covering some or all project phases (from procurement, through to build and post-installation support) for successful delivery to the project sponsor.
  • Coordination of works throughout the project phases to ensure successful delivery.
  • Budget management (including cost control and cash flow forecasting) associated with the project.
  • Provision of accurate reporting of progress against quality, performance, time, and cost constraints.
  • Ensure all works are performed in compliance with company standards, national and international standards, and regulations.
  • Liaise with Designers and EHS Personnel.
  • Prepare equipment specifications for material requisitions.
  • Prepare SOW for contractor works.
  • Supervision and coordination of contractors
  • Prepare test packs for all systems.
  • Review all technical documentation from vendors and contractors.
  • Manage and coordinate contractor permitting.
  • Field supervision of contractors.
  • Validation of projects.
  • Snagging of installations.
  • Prepare O&Ms for all systems.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level 8 Degree in Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering (or appropriate equivalent).
  • 3 years' Post Graduate Engineering experience of which 2+ years will have been in an onsite project engineering role.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Inventor, Revit) and Tekla would be desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience in working with and implementing projects in live, working industrial plants.
  • Knowledge and experience of working to relevant recognised standards.
  • Experience in working in high output highly regulated industrial environments.
  • Project delivery to tight schedules.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Must have a current Irish / EU Work Permit.
