About the Job:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Social Care Worker to join our team at The Bridge, Kilcullen, Co Kildare. As a Social Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to live fulfilling lives, promoting their independence, autonomy, and overall well-being.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Develop and implement individualized plans to promote independence and autonomy
- Facilitate socialization and integration into the community through recreational activities and outings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support
Requirements:
- Minimum of Level 7 on the QQI Framework - BA in Social Care Studies or equivalent qualification in Health or Social Care
- 1 year experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow and evaluate plans and methods to meet ongoing needs of individuals supported
