About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team as a Physiotherapist.

You will work closely with residents with Huntington's disease, dementia, neuropsychiatric presentations, enduring mental health conditions and emerging physical disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry a clinical caseload appropriate to the post.
  • Be responsible for client assessment, development and implementation of individualised treatment plans that are client centred and in line with best practice.
  • Communicate and work in co-operation with other team members.
  • Develop effective communication with and provide instruction, guidance and support to service users, family, carers etc.
  • Document client records in accordance with professional standards and departmental policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration (or in the process of registering) on the Physiotherapist register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
  • Two to three years full time (or an aggregate of three years) post qualification clinical experience.
  • A degree in Physiotherapy or an equivalent qualification and be eligible for membership with the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
  • Established clinical and management experience in the areas of Mental Health, Older Persons, Frail Elderly and have clinical experience of associated medical conditions and/or in palliative care.
