Supervise Ground Support Equipment Maintenance

As a supervisor at Swissport, you will play a key role in managing daily maintenance operations to consistently high standards. Your leadership will inspire the team to uphold engineering excellence, ensuring provision of safe, reliable, and fit-for-purpose ground support equipment for ramp operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the team in delivering daily maintenance operations to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prioritize safety in all activities and lead by example, demonstrating a strong commitment to health and safety regulations.
  • Manage staff, including recruitment, training, coaching, absence management, disciplinaries, and professional development.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging LEAN 5S/6S principles to optimize workflows and improve delivery efficiency.
  • Utilize fleet asset maintenance programs (e.g., Maximo/IMS-Fleet Maintenance Pro) to create and complete work orders, raise purchase orders, capture costs, and maintain accurate asset information.
  • Plan resources and capacity effectively to optimize workflow through the maintenance workshop, ensuring seamless integration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with airport authority, CAA, airline, and Swissport security requirements, maintaining high standards of security and safety.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers and suppliers to resolve issues and improve overall satisfaction.
  • Provide technical support for GSE troubleshooting and fault assessment, working closely with technicians to resolve complex issues.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Experience in engineering maintenance operations, preferably in a workshop environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Good working knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality control methods.
  • Effective stakeholder management and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of delivering against SLAs and KPIs.
Requirements
  • A full valid EU driving license.
  • Ability to travel when required.
