Job Overview

As a senior engineer, you will play a key role in leading the DevOps transformation across our organization. This involves closely partnering with developers to design, build, implement, and support technology services.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure operational criteria such as system availability, capacity, performance, monitoring, self-healing, and deployment automation are implemented throughout the delivery process.
  • Lead the transformation through tooling and by advocating for change and standards across development, quality, release, and product organizations.
  • Support daily operations with a focus on triage and root-cause analysis, understanding the business impact of products to maximize customer experience and value.
  • Shift left to be proactive in development and proactively manage production and change activities, while aligning with risk management and compliance across environments.
  • Streamline and standardize traditional application support activities and centralize points of interaction for internal and external partners by effective stakeholder communication.
  • Regularly review run state and provide feedback to development partners on how to improve customer experience of applications.
  • Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering concepts; spend time across areas such as scalability, performance, resilience, incident response, and automation as part of the engineering role.
Qualifications
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Coding and/or scripting exposure; experience with algorithms, data structures, scripting, pipeline management, and software design.
  • Interest in automation and scaling architecture; curious about new technology, infrastructure, and practices to support growth.
  • Systematic problem-solving approach with strong communication, ownership, and drive; ability to troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems.
  • Willingness to learn and work in a matrix-based, geographically distributed project team; ability to balance doing things right with delivering quickly.
  • Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and ensuring monitoring exists to detect anomalies.
