Quality Engineer Job Description

The primary function of this role is to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services in accordance with regulatory requirements. This involves providing expert QA support to operations teams, ensuring operational goals and objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement process improvements to reduce risk and enhance quality, customer satisfaction, and productivity.
  • Provide effective and responsive QA support to operations teams, meeting their area's objectives of quality, cost, and output.
  • Ensure all process variables and interactions are adequately defined and controlled.
  • Identify and address all potential failure modes in processes, utilizing techniques such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Drive and implement plant-wide quality system improvements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other support functions on quality-related issues, providing functional expertise on regulatory requirements, statistical techniques, and sampling principles.
  • Develop and implement statistical control methods to monitor process performance, including SPC, CpK analysis, and sampling techniques.
  • Approve change requests for product, process, and quality system changes, ensuring that they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and analyze customer complaints, identifying trends and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement validation protocols and reports, ensuring that they meet regulatory requirements.

Compile and maintain required regulatory documentation, including technical files, design dossiers, and product documentation.

This role requires a strong understanding of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and statistical techniques. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
