Technical Sustainability Assurance Manager

Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking a motivated and technically skilled professional to join our Sustainability Assurance Technical team as a Senior/Assistant Manager. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the sustainability assurance engagement team by developing detailed methodologies and resources for conducting sustainability assurance engagements.
As a member of our team, you will be responsible for staying up-to-date with evolving sustainability standards, regulatory frameworks, and trends. You will also build and maintain detailed knowledge of sustainability assurance standards, legislation, and other requirements.

As a Senior/Assistant Manager, you will establish strong relationships with audit and assurance teams, working with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to sustainability assurance.
You will provide comprehensive support to engagement teams conducting sustainability assurance engagements, ensuring the delivery of accurate and reliable assurance. You will also research complex sustainability assurance issues and provide practical solutions to assurance, audit, and consulting teams.
The ideal candidate will have a Qualified Accountant qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) and minimum 3 years' relevant experience in practice or industry. They will have knowledge of sustainability- and corporate reporting environments and the interconnectivity with financial reporting. They will also have detailed knowledge of ISA (Ireland) and understanding and awareness of ISAE 3000 (Revised), ISAE Ireland 3000, ISAE 3410, and ISSA 5000 (ED).
In addition to your technical skills, you will have strong analytical skills and attention to detail. You will have good communications skills, both written and verbal, and be comfortable presenting complex topics. You will also have proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS SharePoint.
