Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. As an integral part of the client's organization, you will play a key role in designing and developing electrical control panel solutions for automation systems.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing 2D & 3D electrical designs, detailing electrical schematics and processes, generating quotations, sourcing electrical components, creating test plans and documentation packs, assisting in electrical debug of systems, and liaising with customers and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • A third-level qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Science, or equivalent experience as a qualified electrician with 3+ years' relevant industrial design experience.
  • Familiarity with electrical controls, AC/DC motors, servo motors, invertors, general panel equipment, drives, and pneumatics.
  • Proficiency in software packages such as Eplan P8, Eplan Pro Panel, AutoCAD Electrical is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and controls methodologies is essential. Knowledge of Robotics, automation principles, and safety standards is also advantageous.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills are required to work effectively with customers and suppliers.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills are necessary to overcome complex technical challenges.
