Warehouse Operative / Relief Delivery Driver Job Description

A dynamic and energetic team is seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative / Relief Delivery Driver to join our warehouse team.

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role that combines warehouse operations with delivery driving as needed.

In this hybrid role, you will work primarily in our warehouse, ensuring the efficient handling, packing, and storage of food products. You will also step in as a Relief Delivery Driver, delivering products to customers and collecting from suppliers.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Pick and pack daily customer orders to a high standard
  • Receive and organise stock in designated storage areas
  • Maintain and monitor stock rotation (FIFO) and stock control systems
  • Record all stock movements using our internal computer system
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)
  • Work across ambient and chilled storage environments
  • Ensure the warehouse is clean, safe, and well-organised at all times
Job Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of order picking or manual handling experience
  • Comfortable with operating warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet truck, forklift)
  • Knowledge of HACCP
  • Good standard of literacy, numeracy, and computer skills
  • Flexible, reliable, and self-motivated
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently when needed
  • Positive, can-do attitude and pride in delivering high standards
