Key Responsibilities:

The Automation Engineer role involves:

  • Developing, reviewing, and approving design documentation and project standards.
  • Providing automation expertise for engineering, operations, and sustaining decisions.
  • Establishing and implementing SOPs for automation compliance and management.
  • Ensuring automation systems remain compliant and qualified.
  • Supporting validation activities.
  • Optimising equipment performance through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Training personnel on automation aspects of equipment.
  • Designing and implementing automation solutions per site change control procedures.
  • Leading automation project teams when required.
  • Collaborating with project leads on priorities and timelines.

The Ideal Candidate:

To succeed as an Automation Engineer at Oleson, you should have:

  • At least 8 years of experience in automation in GMP environments and applications, Fill finish preferred.
  • Strong expertise in Siemens TIA (and non-TIA), WinCC, Desigo, AVEVA InTouch & Historians.
  • Proven track record of managing and collaborating with system integrators.
  • Excellent skills in maintaining control networks (Profibus, Ethernet).
  • Experience with OSI PI, SQL Server, virtualisation platforms, and IT is desirable.
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
