Job Description

Role Overview:

  • We are seeking a skilled chemist to conduct research tasks and produce high-quality chemicals according to established standards.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience with laboratory equipment, supplies, and documentation.
  • This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring progress, reporting results, and coordinating tasks to meet deadlines.
  • In addition, the chemist will perform routine QC testing, ensure product quality, and maintain stock levels of chemicals and supplies.
  • The role involves investigating issues, analysing root causes, and defining resolutions.
  • Furthermore, the successful candidate will suggest improvements for test procedures, develop standard procedures, and perform environmental monitoring as required.
  • The chemist will also conduct chemical synthesis, perform research activities, and assist with validation activities.
  • Last but not least, adherence to the Quality system is essential, particularly GMP/GDP/GLP guidelines.
Requirements

Essential Skills:

  • A third-level degree in a science or engineering discipline.
  • 0-3 years' experience in Pharmaceutical or Medical Device industry.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team.
  • An open-minded individual willing to undergo cross-training across different functional areas.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience in gas chromatography and moisture titration.
  • Background in analytic chemistry.
