Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Engineer to join our team on a power infrastructure project based in Tarbert, Kerry.

  • Liaise with internal and subcontracted teams including planning, construction, design, commercial, and HSQE.
  • Liaise with 3rd parties including Local Authorities, Utility Providers, Statutory Authorities.
  • Ensure that you have an overall understanding of the project scope.
  • Check/understand Specifications, Drawings and other Contract Documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Setting out, levelling and surveying the site in accordance with the Drawings and Specification.
  2. Preparing Labour, Plant & Material Returns.
  3. Preparing As-built drawings, technical reports, site diary.
  4. Liaising with purchasing department to ensure that purchase orders adequately define the specified requirements.
  5. Requisition of materials and plant.
  6. Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, site supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce.
  7. Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and subcontractors.
  8. Resolving technical issues with employer's representatives, suppliers, subcontractors, and statutory authorities

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A MSc / Degree in engineering to support their competency in the role.
  • Min 4 -5 years experience as a Setting Out Engineer.
  • Preferably have studied modules in Water/Waste water
  • Relevant experience on similar projects a commitment to carry out the project safely in an environmentally friendly way
