About Us: Animal Health Ireland is a not-for-profit, public-private partnership dedicated to controlling livestock diseases not subject to international regulation. Our objective is to improve the profitability and efficiency of the agricultural sector while ensuring animal welfare and public health.
We are seeking an Innovation Broker to provide support in several activities of the Pig Health Check (PHC) programme. The successful candidate will report directly to the PHC Programme Manager and lead the TAILWARDS project, a collaboration between Teagasc, Animal Health Ireland, and the Irish Farmers Association (IFA).
The Main Responsibilities of the role include:
- Arranging meetings with stakeholders
- Reviewing and updating materials
- Minute taking and developing reports
- Writing newsletters and articles for printing and social media
- Providing technical information and support to veterinarians and farmers
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
- Knowledge of epidemiological concepts of disease control
- A first or upper second-class honours degree or M.Sc. in an appropriate discipline
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English
