**Job Description**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Radiography IT Specialist to join our team at UPMC Group. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for leading the operational management of Radiology IT services, working closely with our Radiology Services Manager.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical radiography, with a minimum of 6 years' experience post-graduation and at least 3 years' experience working at a senior level in a hospital department. A postgraduate qualification in RIS/PACS management is essential.

You will be responsible for providing a quality radiology service to all patients attending Aut Even Hospital, in line with professional best practice and hospital guidelines, policies and procedures. This includes carrying out clinical duties as required/directed by the RSM, taking responsibility for all aspects of the Radiology service that relate to electronic image capture, storage and review through PACS and tele-Radiology.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and external stakeholders to build alignment & consensus around clinical systems implementation. They will also have a detailed understanding of Data Protection Act (2018), General Data Protection Regulation (2016) and other relevant legislation and standards relating to IT or confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead in the operational management of Radiology IT services
  • Provide a quality radiology service to all patients attending Aut Even Hospital
  • Carry out clinical duties as required/directed by the RSM
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of the Radiology service that relate to electronic image capture, storage and review through PACS and tele-Radiology
  • Work collaboratively with staff and external stakeholders to build alignment & consensus around clinical systems implementation
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information and results reporting through RIS

Requirements:

  • BSc Diagnostic Radiography
  • Qualification must be recognised and validated by the Irish Institute of Radiography
  • CORU registration
  • A minimum of 6 years post-graduation clinical experience
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working at a senior level in a hospital department
  • A postgraduate qualification in RIS/PACS management is essential
