About the Role
  • This is a maternity leave cover position that requires excellent clinical and administrative skills.
  • The successful candidate will work 5 days a week (Monday – Friday) in our Occupational Health Department located in Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

This is an opportunity for a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality occupational health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • To be registered in the general division of the live Register of Nurses maintained by Nursing & Midwifery Board Ireland.
  • Candidates must possess the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of clinical and administrative capacity, for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
  • Have certification of an approved Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers Course within the last two years Irish Heart Foundation (IHF).
  • Have evidence of Initial National Anaphylaxis Education Programme for Health Care Professionals accessible online followed by a two-hour classroom-based skills workshop.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team in a busy Occupational Health department.
  • Good IT skills/Administrative knowledge.
  • Phlebotomy and Vaccination administration competency essential for this role.
  • Basic knowledge of health screening, surveillance, and Pre-Employment medicals desirable.
  • Manage Occupational Health records in accordance with General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
  • Practice in line with the Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics for Registered Nurses 2025, NMBI.
