General Medicine Clinician

We seek an exceptional clinician to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a supportive teaching environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive assessments and develop effective management plans to meet the needs of patients admitted under General Medicine.
  • Collaborate with consultants, allied health professionals, nursing staff, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Supervise and support junior staff, promoting their growth and development in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Participate in daily ward rounds, clinical meetings, and multidisciplinary team discussions to drive quality improvement initiatives and foster a culture of excellence.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, effective handover of patient care, and adherence to best practice standards.
  • Engage in quality improvement and clinical audit activities to drive continuous learning and improvement.
  • Contribute to the after-hours and on-call roster as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for candidates with:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
  • Registration with the relevant Medical Council.
  • At least 2 years of postgraduate clinical experience, preferably including general medicine.
  • Enrolment in or eligibility for a recognised specialist training program in General/Internal Medicine.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and education.
Desirable Attributes

  • Experience in teaching junior staff and medical students.
  • Participation in clinical research or audit projects.
  • Interest in subspecialty areas within General Medicine.
