In this role, you will work under the general direction of the Purchasing and Supplies Manager, utilizing your knowledge of public procurement and hospital procedures to procure routine stock items, special non-stock items, and equipment.

As a key member of the Stores Department, you will be responsible for maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including hospital wards and suppliers.

The successful candidate will have a Certificate in public procurement and supply chain, as well as a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain efficient stock levels in line with hospital usage and demand forecasts.
  • Process purchase orders for both stock and non-stock items in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure maximum accuracy of stock levels through regular stocktaking and tracking of stock movements.
  • Liaise and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders in relation to purchasing and materials department functions.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant hospital procedures and public procurement legislation.
