Job Opportunity:

  • A new chance has arisen to work as an Apprentice Toolmaker in a leading manufacturing organization.

As an Apprentice Toolmaker, you will gain the skills needed to operate all machinery required for producing and maintaining precision tools used in various industries. You will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings and data to machine and assemble with great accuracy jigs, fixtures, moulding tools, dies, and punches.

The role involves both on-the-job training at the company's premises and attending a local college to complete your studies over a 4-year period.

Key Responsibilities and Skills:
  • Learn and understand how to operate all equipment necessary for building and maintaining precision tools
  • Apply technical data and drawings accurately
  • Check work performed using appropriate measuring instruments
  • Service and maintain relevant equipment regularly
  • Perform assigned tasks efficiently, including delivering parts to vendors, machine maintenance, and maintaining overall workshop appearance
Qualifications:
  • Leaving Certificate with a good understanding of Mathematics
