Job Title: High Voltage Station Designer

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in designing and developing high voltage substations. You will be responsible for planning, scoping, and costing projects to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced electrical designer with a strong background in high voltage substation design. Your responsibilities will include preparing detailed electrical designs, including layouts, schematics, and wiring schedules. You will also need to comply with safety legislation and act as a first point of contact on behalf of the project manager for ESB Networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning, scoping, and costing of projects in high voltage substations
  • Preparation of preliminary health and safety documentation and design risk assessments
  • Preparation of detailed electrical designs, including layouts, schematics, and wiring schedules
  • Compliance with safety legislation and acting as a first point of contact on behalf of the project manager for ESB Networks

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical design or equivalent design work experience. You should also have proficiency and adaptability in CAD/CAE systems such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, or similar. Additionally, you should have general proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and a track record of implementing standards, policies, and quality systems to ensure optimum designs.
