The Setting Out Engineer role is available in East Cork for a housing development project. A busy contractor in the Munster region requires an experienced professional to work across multiple live sites.
About the JobThis position involves setting out and checking works as required for the project, ensuring all tasks are completed in line with project drawings specifications and building regulations. The candidate will verify that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will:
- Set out and check works as required
- Ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations
- Verify materials and work performed
- Report to Site Manager
- Maintain excellent relationships with the construction management team, subcontractors, and site personnel
- Monitor facilities and analyse operational data
- Attend daily and weekly meetings as instructed by management
- Comply with safety regulations on all equipment and health and safety regulations of the site
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum 2 years' post-grad experience with a main contractor
- Confidence in working alongside other trades
- Ability to use setting out instruments and competence in all aspects of set out, survey & level, temporary works co-ordination
- Excellent IT Skills
- Strong organisational and communication skills
