We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team in Kilkenny, Ireland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining manufacturing operation (data) systems including hardware and software.

Key areas of ownership will include the design and implementation of software-based systems for the real-time acquisition and storage of data from our production machinery, as well as system resilience in areas of automated back-up and recovery, and cyber security.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting and maintaining manufacturing operation (data) systems including hardware and software.
  2. Controlling Systems (SCADA, HMI)
  3. Software change management and asset monitoring servers
  4. Batch Management software.
  5. Data Historian, OEE reporting and review, Energy Monitoring
  6. At Line inspection equipment and systems
  7. Spearheading and supporting manufacturing software system implementations across the Division. Covering URS development, Validation, and commissioning. Ensuring compliance with (local) regulatory requirements.
  8. Leading projects with resources allocated from sites, division, outside service providers, contractors.
  9. Developing or implementing standard manufacturing asset structures for data collection and data contextualization.
  10. Supporting and developing manufacturing data visualization, reporting and examination using Division and Corporate standards.
  11. Ensuring secured IT infrastructure for continuous manufacturing operations with the Corp IT organization.
  12. Anticipating future needs of the business. Benchmarking internally and externally. Recognizing indicators of future opportunities; initiating plans to acquire new skills required by changes in technology.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, Biomedical, or Software), or related discipline. Master's degree in engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, Biomedical, or Software), or related discipline. (Preferred)
  • Experience working in the medical device industry.
  • 5+ years of significant OT, engineering, and/or operational experience, including systems integration experience/integrating all system components (electrical, mechanical, software), system architecture, requirement/user need gathering.
  • Experience of software testing, verification, and validation.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively integrate information from varied disciplines and work within a highly regulated environment.
