Electrical Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Quality Assurance Specialist to oversee and verify the quality of electrical installations on industrial or large-scale commercial construction projects. The specialist will ensure that all electrical work is executed in compliance with project specifications, national regulations, and international quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and verify the quality of electrical installations including containment systems, cabling, terminations, earthing/bonding, panels, and instrumentation wiring
  • Conduct walkdowns, audits, and inspections at various stages of installation
  • Review and ensure compliance with I.S National Rules for Electrical Installations and project specifications
  • Monitor testing and commissioning activities, such as insulation resistance, continuity, RCD testing, and loop impedance
  • Liaise with electrical supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors to address non-conformances or quality issues
Qualifications & Experience
  • A qualified electrician with a National Craft Certificate or equivalent, along with additional qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Quality Control, would be advantageous
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in electrical QA/QC roles on industrial or large commercial projects
  • Excellent knowledge of Irish electrical standards, industry best practices, and relevant legislation
  • Experience with electrical testing procedures and documentation control
