About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team as a Senior Pharmacist. This is a full-time, permanent position that will provide effective, efficient, and safe pharmaceutical care to all patients under the care of UPMC Whitfield Hospital.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmacy practice and possess the requisite specialised knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the role. They will be registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland or entitled to be so registered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the pharmacy team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement clinical pharmacy services, including prescription review, patient education, and documentation of clinical interventions.
  • Manage the efficient running of the Dispensary, including the procurement, storage, supply, and dispensing of pharmaceuticals and other related items.
  • Ensure best pharmaceutical practice, having regard to legal and ethical requirements and best practice standards for the provision of pharmaceutical services.
