Job Title: Senior Medical Social Worker

Description:

The Role:

This is a challenging and rewarding position for a seasoned Medical Social Worker to join our healthcare team. We are seeking an experienced professional with a proven track record in providing high-quality care and support to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing specialist social work services to patients and families within the hospital setting.
  • Conducting assessments, developing care plans, and implementing interventions to meet the needs of patients and their families.
  • Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of patient interactions and care plans.
Requirements:
  • CORU registration as a Medical Social Worker.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience post-qualification in Medical Social Work, with at least 2 years in a hospital setting.
  • Experience working in orthopaedics, both adult and pediatric populations.
  • Desirable experience working with older adults.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide supervision and leadership to junior staff members.
