About the Role

This technical role involves assessing and managing domestic property claims from notification to settlement. You will take ownership of your portfolio, conduct desktop assessments, engage with service providers, and ensure customers receive a timely outcome.

You will collaborate with our wider claims team, providing input on complex losses and driving great service and technical standards across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a portfolio of domestic property claims from notification to settlement.
  2. Carry out desktop assessments of damage using reports, photos, video calls, and other evidence.
  3. Liaise with contractors, engineers, and restoration companies to progress repairs and validate scopes of work.
  4. Support on large loss or complex claims, including occasional field visits where needed.
  5. Review and validate reports from service providers to ensure accuracy and value for money.
  6. Communicate clearly and empathetically with customers throughout the claims journey.
  7. Ensure all claims are handled in line with regulatory requirements and company standards.

About You

We are looking for someone with practical experience in property claims, loss adjusting, or a similar field who enjoys solving problems, working with technical detail, and helping customers through challenging situations.

What We Need:

  • 3+ years' experience in property claims, loss adjusting, loss assessing, surveying, or a similar field.
  • Solid understanding of domestic building construction and repair.
  • Good judgment and a fair, balanced approach to resolving claims.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage your time, and take ownership of claims.

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience working with contractors, builders, or engineers.
  • Familiarity with property repair pricing and scoping tools.
