Machine Learning Operations Specialist

This position involves leading the integration of machine learning models into production, focusing on automation, scalability, and reliability.

  • A successful candidate will have expertise in machine learning, data science, software engineering, and IT operations, with experience in cloud platforms, container orchestration, and CI tools.

The ideal candidate will be able to manage server workloads in cloud environments, monitor performance and configuration, automate the machine learning lifecycle, deploy and manage ML models in production, ensure proper infrastructure setup, monitor model performance and troubleshoot issues, optimize for better efficiency, collaborate with data scientists, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders for successful integration, coordinate with IT on data engineering and hardware support for predictive models and equipment rollout, stay updated on industry trends and recommend solutions to meet business needs.

This role requires a strong understanding of analytics, algorithms, and simulation tools, as well as the ability to manage complex systems, lead cross-departmental initiatives, and demonstrate leadership. The Machine Learning Operations Specialist will contribute to the development of MLOps practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage server workloads in cloud environments, monitoring performance and configuration.
  2. Automate the machine learning lifecycle, including training, deployment, and monitoring.
  3. Deploy and manage ML models in production, ensuring proper infrastructure setup.
  4. Monitor model performance and troubleshoot issues, optimizing for better efficiency.
  5. Collaborate with data scientists, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders for successful integration.
  6. Coordinate with IT on data engineering and hardware support for predictive models and equipment rollout.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and recommend solutions to meet business needs.

Benefits:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
  • 1-3 years experience with Spark and Data Proc Clusters.
  • 1-3 years experience with automation, build, and deployment tools like Cloud Formation or Terraform.
  • Proficiency with CI/CD tools and experience in Agile DevOps environments.
  • Knowledge of ML Ops tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
  • Strong understanding of analytics, algorithms, and simulation tools.
  • Ability to manage complex systems, lead cross-departmental initiatives, and demonstrate leadership.
