Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Dental Hygienist to join our team in a well-established general dental practice in Dublin 15. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a hygienist and be registered with The Dental Council.

The practice is conveniently located and easily accessible by public transport on numerous bus routes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth.
  • Taking and processing dental radiographs according to the prescription of a dentist is also a crucial aspect of this role.
  • You will assess patients' oral health and provide individualised treatment recommendations.
  • Our ideal candidate will also provide advice on oral health, planning and implementing programmes for prevention of dental caries and personalised plaque control.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and treatment plans is essential.
  • Collaboration with dentists and other dental professionals is necessary for comprehensive patient care.
  • You will confirm medical and dental histories, record hard and soft tissue and periodontal status.
Requirements:
  • Strong communication skills and a good command of the English language are required.
  • We are looking for a self-motivated and hard working, personable and positive individual with a strong patient care focus.
  • Teamwork and excellent chair side manner are essential when providing treatment.
