Production Manager Role

The Shift Manager position is responsible for overseeing the seamless execution of production operations during the evening shift.

  • Maintaining efficient workflows and resolving issues as they arise from both operational and personnel perspectives.
  • Supervising the team to meet daily/weekly production demands.
  • Evaluating project and resource requirements.
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement to enhance quality, performance, efficiency, and reduce costs through structured problem-solving activities in line with company policies and systems.
  • Negotiating and agreeing upon budgets and timescales with clients and managers.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Monitoring production processes and key performance indicators.

Key Skills Required:

  • Experience in a similar role preferably within manufacturing/engineering environments.
  • Managerial/supervisory/team leadership experience.
  • A background in lean manufacturing or strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances in line with company requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of MRP systems.
  • Understanding of production planning in fast-paced settings.
