Job Title: Environmental Health Manager

A leading food and nutrition co-operative seeks an experienced Environmental Health Manager to join its team in County Monaghan. As a key member of the site management team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the development and promotion of a best-in-class EH&S culture.

This exciting opportunity involves:

  • Developing and implementing the site EH&S Management strategy in alignment with central policies and continuous improvement goals.
  • Leading a culture of zero harm across the site and collaborating with employees to achieve this goal.
  • Managing and leading the site EH&S risk assessment programme, prioritising tasks and mitigating risks.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of new legislation and standards.

In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing the on-site Wastewater Treatment Plant and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Deploying and managing the site EH&S training programme, focusing on statutory requirements and best practice.
  • Coordinating Occupational Health and Sustainability programmes and developing site EH&S KPIs.
  • Representing the company in interactions with external agencies, stakeholders, and authorities.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Third-level qualification in Health & Safety, Food, Engineering, or Manufacturing.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a Health and Safety role in the dairy, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills, with a track record of continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
