As a dedicated Eye Care Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and service. This role requires a high level of professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic team.

The typical day will involve completing eye examinations, contact lens, and extended service examinations. You will work closely with the Dispensing Optician Manager to support training, coaching, and maintaining all departmental standards.

This position offers a wide range of care for the treatment and monitoring of eye conditions, including extended service contracts with the NHS. As a valued member of our team, you will have access to a fantastic CPD programme and protected time to complete further accreditations, funded by us.

This ensures you have the full training package to meet the ever-changing eye care needs of our customers. We foster a culture of development and support, where you can reach your full potential.

You will be fully supported in all aspects of your role, whether clinical or service-based, with expert advice and guidance always available.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a skilled candidate who is eager to contribute to our store's excellent service levels and foster positive relationships within our team and the wider community.

Your Role Will Involve:

  • Fully qualified optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC)
  • Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
  • MECTs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining – funded and supported by us)
  • On track to meet the statutory points requirement for continuing professional development (CPD)
  • Able to deliver a memorable customer experience using your skills and passion for the role
  • Passionate about developing new patient services and shaping the culture of the department
