About the Role

This Senior Quality Assurance Microbiologist will be responsible for conducting microbiological testing, method transfers, sample and data management, and equipment maintenance in a quality control laboratory setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Endotoxin testing of water, in-process, and drug product release samples
  • Bioburden testing of water and in-process drug product samples
  • Sterility testing
  • Water sampling
  • Laboratory support duties such as Biological Indicator testing, Growth Promotion, Media Preparation, Identifications, and Autoclave
  • Writing technical reports
  • Performing analytical testing with efficiency and accuracy
  • Working across diverse areas within the laboratory
  • Planning and performing multiple routine and non-routine methods and procedures
  • Reporting, evaluating, archiving, trending, and approving analytical data
  • Troubleshooting, solving problems, and communicating with stakeholders
  • Initiating and implementing changes in controlled documents
  • Participating in audits, initiatives, and projects
  • Writing protocols and performing assay validation
  • Introducing new techniques to the laboratory
  • Evaluating lab practices for compliance and operational excellence improvement

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a science discipline
  • Biopharmaceutical QC experience in a microbiology laboratory
  • Experience in a wide variety of microbiological techniques
  • Understanding and application of principles, concepts, theories, and standards of GMP QC microbiology laboratories
  • Strong technical writing skills for GMP documentation
