The Role

This Data Analyst position is part of our Planning & Data Insights function, where you'll work alongside engineers, scientists, and analysts to design and develop data solutions that meet AZI's reporting and analytical objectives. It's an exciting opportunity to transform data into valuable insights for the company.

You'll collaborate with the Data Engineering team to create dashboards and reports that shape the reporting and data analytics landscape. You'll also work closely with colleagues from the full Data Planning & Insights function and the wider business to tackle priority projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret data to identify trends, understand their causes, and explain them effectively.
  • Ensure data quality through robust controls and adherence to company-wide data governance processes and procedures.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and forecasting by analyzing and interpreting financial data.
  • Determine user requirements and manage relationships to develop management reports and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to enhance data accessibility and optimize processes.
  • Develop data use cases aligned with the business strategy.
  • Stay up-to-date with technical and operational documentation.
  • Meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.

Requirements

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience in data analysis and financial modeling.
  • A third-level degree in a relevant field such as Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate and analyze data effectively.
  • Strong MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with effective communication at all levels.
  • Demonstrate strong presentation and report writing skills.
  • Experience in coordinating and delivering accurate output under multiple deadlines.
  • A self-starter with attention to detail who excels in problem-solving, automation, and reconciliation.

Desirable Experience:

  • Dashboard creation using Power BI or Dash.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation software like Python, SQL, or SAS.
  • Experience with Cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
