We are seeking a network development engineer to join our team at AWS. As a network development engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing key components of our network availability service.
About This Role
You will join a diverse team of software and system development engineers who work on challenging problems. Your experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering will help you contribute to improving our documentation, processes, and tools.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Designing and developing software systems for network automation.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify areas of focus.
- Creating and reviewing software design documentation.
- Owning the operational excellence of the software you put into production.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Experience in professional software development.
- Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems.
- Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering.
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals.
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.
- Experience working in a high-pace DevOps environment.
