Senior Physician

We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Physician to provide high-quality medical care in General Medicine.

  • The ideal candidate will have extensive post-graduate experience in General Medicine and hold active registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) - Specialist Division in General (Internal) Medicine.
  • Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team delivering cutting-edge medical services. As a Senior Physician, you will be responsible for providing expert medical care, supervising junior doctors, and contributing to teaching and training programmes.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care through accurate diagnosis, effective treatment, and timely management of patients with General Medicine conditions.
  • Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors, promoting their professional development and ensuring they adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, research, and quality improvement initiatives to maintain expertise and enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Full registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC) - Specialist Division in General (Internal) Medicine must be active and in place to secure interview.
  • Extensive post-graduate experience in General Medicine.
  • Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a subspecialty area of General Medicine.
  • Proven track record in medical research and clinical teaching.
  • Prior experience working in an Irish or UK healthcare setting.
