Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Trainee Structured Cabling / Data Technician.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with Ireland's largest IT network infrastructure solutions company and be part of some exciting projects including large multinational companies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication and time keeping skills, and a willingness to learn.

  • Wiring of copper Cat6, Cat6A, Fibre and Voice cable
  • Terminating & testing of copper cable
  • Splicing & testing of fibre cable
  • Basic cable fault finding
  • Reading & marking of site drawings
  • Patching and circuits
  • Health & Safety procedures on construction sites

Responsibilities:

Job Description

As a Trainee Structured Cabling / Data Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Installing and terminating copper cabling systems
  • Splicing and testing fibre optic cables
  • Performing basic cable fault finding and repair
  • Reading and marking site drawings
  • Assisting in the installation of patching and circuits
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety procedures on construction sites

  • A strong work ethic and willingness to learn
  • Flexibility to travel when needed
  • Valid Safepass certification
