We work on diverse projects across multiple sectors, including transport, pharmaceutical, industrial, energy, utilities, technology and residential.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of projects that protect and restore biodiversity.

About the Role
  • Lead and manage ecological projects, providing expert guidance and ensuring environmental integrity.
  • Liaise with in-house professionals and external partners to coordinate project delivery.
  • Carry out complex data analysis and interpretation using GIS software.
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary design teams to provide ecological design solutions and advice.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and commission large geographical scale ecological survey programmes.
  • Coordinate and supervise other ecologists to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
  • Prepare specialist ecological reports and monitoring plans.
  • Undertake and manage Ecological Impact Assessments, Biodiversity chapters and Appropriate Assessments.
  • Provide technical ecological advice and recommendations to clients.
  • Manage project finances and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry changes.
  • Consult with stakeholders, including government departments and planning authorities.
Requirements
  • Degree in ecology, natural science or a related biological discipline.
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management at the appropriate level.
  • Full or eligibility for full membership of CIEEM.
  • Strong technical report writing skills and excellent working knowledge of Irish and EU wildlife and planning legislation.
