Job Title: Apprentice Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic 3rd Year Mechanic to join our team in Macroom, County Cork.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of basic automotive systems, servicing, and repair procedures.

This is a full-time, permanent position, Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist experienced mechanics with diagnostics, repairs, and servicing of vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake inspections, and tyre rotations.
  • Support troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems under supervision.
  • Develop hands-on experience with workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety practices.
  • Follow technical instructions, service manuals, and workplace procedures accurately.
  • Ensure all work complies with industry standards, quality expectations, and safety regulations.
  • Keep the workshop organised by maintaining tools, equipment, and work areas.
  • Record completed tasks, parts used, and report progress to supervisors.
Qualifications:
  • Currently undertaking a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology.
  • Successfully completed first and second year apprenticeship requirements.
  • Strong understanding of basic automotive systems, servicing, and repair procedures.
  • Familiarity with workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety practices.
  • Driving Licence
