International Tax Manager for EMEA Controversy

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced International Tax Manager to join our EMEA team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing tax controversy in EMEA, including responding to RFIs, collaborating with external advisors, and supporting finance teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the EMEA tax team and the wider international finance team to manage tax controversy in EMEA.
  • Respond to RFIs by collating information from finance and business sources.
  • Collaborate with external advisors to manage controversy strategy.
  • SUPPORT THE FINANCE TEAM RELATING TO ACCOUNTING IMPLICATIONS OF TAX CONTROVERSY MATTERS.
  • SUPPORT VARIOUS TAX MATTERS RELATING TO COMPANY'S INTERNATIONAL OPERATING STRUCTURE, INCLUDING TRANSFER PRICING DOCUMENTATION, WITHHOLDING TAX OBLIGATIONS, TAX CONTROLS AND REVIEWS OF ACTIVITIES AND OPERATIONS TO ENSURE COMPLIANCE WITH OPERATIONAL GOALS AS REQUIRED.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in Tax Management.
  • A manager level role for 1-2 years minimum.
  • Relevant experience in international tax, preferably in Big 4, Tech, Pharma or Consumer Production industry in EMEA.
  • Corporate tax knowledge is a must.
  • Transfer pricing experience.
  • University degree, with advanced degree or professional qualification in tax, law or accounting preferred.
  • Strong international tax knowledge and familiarity of tax issues for a multinational company.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, research and project management skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
  • Strong excel skills.
  • HANDS-ON, INDEPENDENT, ABLE TO MULTITASK AND PRIORITISE.
