Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to play a pivotal role in shaping the gambling environment in Ireland. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing licensing, regulation, and control of gambling activities within the State.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Licensing: Ensuring compliance with regulations and laws governing gambling activities.
  • Supervising and Controlling: Maintaining a robust framework for regulating and monitoring gambling activities.
  • Establishing a National Exclusion Register: Creating a comprehensive database to track individuals who may pose a risk to the gambling industry.
  • Administering a Social Impact Fund: Managing resources dedicated to mitigating the negative effects of gambling on individuals and society.
  • Developing Standards: Creating guidelines for various gambling products or services to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Enforcing Compliance: Monitoring licensees' adherence to regulations and addressing any complaints or issues that may arise.
  • Public Awareness and Communication: Educating the public on licensing and gambling activities, as well as promoting transparency and accountability within the industry.

Requirements
