Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our organization on a permanent basis. This is an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to our financial success and work in a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as experience in producing financial statements, management accounts, and conducting financial analysis.

In this role, you will be responsible for compiling monthly management accounts, delivering meaningful variance analysis and clear commentary. You will also maintain the accuracy of the general ledger and all financial records, ensure intercompany balances are accurately reconciled and that foreign exchange is managed during the consolidation process.

You will timely and accurately prepare and submit VAT, HMRC, and other statutory tax returns (including VAT, RTD, VIES, PAYE). Additionally, you will perform financial analysis to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities for business improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile monthly management accounts and deliver insightful commentary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledgers and financial records.
  • Reconcile intercompany balances and manage foreign exchange.
  • Prepare and submit statutory tax returns.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in producing financial statements and conducting financial analysis.
  • Solid knowledge of Irish tax laws, including VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems.
