Job Role Overview

This is a challenging opportunity for a skilled Project Manager to lead client-side project management on an extensive capital works programme. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing client interests and advising on issue resolution.

  • Manage the client's interests on its Capital Major and Minor works and Maintenance programmes
  • Provide advice in the resolution of issues where appropriate
  • Optimise the existing estate value and deliver best value for money
  • Assist in managing and monitoring the construction programme and cost plan to minimise variations
  • Keep stakeholders informed of progress, cost, and other relevant issues
  • Oversee the tender and contractor/consultant appointment process
  • Ensure smooth information flow between all parties to the contract
  • Identify and predict potential bottlenecks and delays, and action remedies
  • Agree valuations and final accounts for contractors and consultants
  • Monitor build and material quality
  • Ensure contractor and consultancy contractual compliance
  • Assist in front-end design planning and procurement of other projects within our portfolio
