About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at UPMC Hillman Cancer Centre in Cork, Ireland.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality radiation treatment to patients, ensuring safety and adherence to departmental procedures. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with advanced technologies and contribute to the development of innovative cancer treatments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a caring atmosphere and provide excellent patient care.
- Deliver radiation treatment according to written prescriptions and treatment plans.
- Ensure accurate documentation of treatment records.
- Maintain treatment portal placement accuracy.
- Explain treatment procedures to patients and families.
- Assist with treatment-related procedures and support student education.
- Participate in quality improvement programs and attend multidisciplinary team meetings.
Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of a formal radiation therapy technology program approved in Ireland or the EU.
- CORU registration.
