Clinical Mental Health Specialist (CNS)

This is a full-time contract opportunity with our Children's Services team in Dublin.

The role involves providing mental health support to children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities.

Salary: €60,854 - €76,897

Location: Dublin. We are a progressive organisation providing Day, Residential and Respite supports to Children and Adults.

We seek candidates who are committed to supporting people with Intellectual Disabilities and their families in a person-centred, community-based, socially inclusive manner.

Essential Requirements
  • A registered Nurse on the active Register of Nurses and Midwives.
  • A minimum of 1 year's experience or an aggregate of 1 year's full-time experience in Child and Adolescent Mental Health.
  • Completed a level 9 post-registration QQI national qualification relevant to the specialist area.
  • Demonstrate Continuous Professional Development relevant to the specialist area.
  • A full clean driving licence and use of own car.
  • Familiarity with the National Model of Service, CAMHS Operational Guidelines, Health Act, TUSLA, HIQA regulations, and Sharing the Vision-A Mental health Policy.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and effective caseload management skills.
  • Possess good planning, organisation, and time management skills, with the ability to work on own initiative.
Desirable Qualifications
  • CAMHS-ID experience
  • Experience in Psychotropic Monitoring
  • Experience in running ADHD Clinics
  • Level 2 behavioural competencies
